The volleyball varsity lady Bulldogs and returning coach Katrina Miller have started off the season with a full schedule and a strong showing including one first place finish in a mini-tournament on their home court, as well as an outstanding showing in the Gull Lake mini-tournament where they lost in the semi-finals in the gold bracket. Although the team did not fare as well at the Portage Northern Invitational, they did land two Conference victories against Edwardsburg and South Haven.

In the Lakeview Invitational the Bulldogs made it to the gold bracket semi-finals, having scored a victory against Cadillac, who is currently ranked 8th in the State in Class B, as well as a win over Cabrini, before falling to both Bedford and Notre Dame Prep. Coach Miller is proud that the girls have made it into three gold brackets out of the four tournaments they have participated in. She feels that, with this strong start and the girls’ ability to work well together, this year’s varsity team will continue to improve their game and have the potential for a very successful season.

The team has four seniors this year including Morgan Bullock, Lexi Francisco, Hanna Ouvry, and Alex Oswalt. The rest of the Bulldog squad includes India Ash, Ashton Bjork, Natalie Glaes, Marrick Manchester,
