On Tuesday October 15, the Schoolcraft Eagles cross country team ran in the KVA Conference championship meet to vie for the title of KVA champions. With an overall score of 39 points, the boys’ Schoolcraft Eagles team was awarded first place and move forward to the regionals with a shot for state champions, while the girls came in third with 111 points as they move forward to the regionals.
Neal Malakowski, a former runner for the Eagles, observed that “everyone is important and contributes to the team.” Madison Ring, a senior, said “The team is like brothers and sisters to each other.” As the team moves forward together, both sides stick together and push to the end.
