South County Community Services (SCCS) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Danna Downing has signed a three-year contract as executive director of the human services agency, according to a recent news release.
Downing has been acting as interim director for the past year and has worked very hard to lead the agency through many challenges and different paths of change, according to the announcement.
“Continuity is important to the agency and the people served. With Downing at the helm we can be assured that she will take the organization in the direction of our mission,” said Lorna Landrum, board chairperson.
The mission as declared by the board, following its recent strategic planning work is, “To promote improved quality of life for all residents of South Kalamazoo County by providing emergency assistance, resource referral and service programs.”
