Vicksburg quarterback, Junior Dalton Ketelaar came up big in the upset of arch rival Three Rivers in the last game of the season.  He scored two TD’s, finishing with 61 yards on 17 carries and was 7 for 11 for 76 passing yards.  He did equally well with a win against Otsego, with 88 yards and 26 carries and 14 for 22 attempts for 222 yards of pass completions.  The team ended the season with a 4-5 record.

“Coach Marchese and I are on the same wavelength,” Ketelaar said.  “We aren’t where we wanted to be initially but we have improved greatly with this last big win.  It’s the guys in the trenches who are doing all the work and they should get credit for our successes.”  He will transition to shooting guard on the basketball team and in the spring perform as catcher and pitcher on the baseball team.

Ketelaar is the son of Renee Barkley and Eric Chesser, his stepfather.
