Vicksburg Varsity Competitive Cheer Concludes Season

As the 2013-2014 season draws to a close, the Vicksburg Varsity Competitive Cheer placed 4^th in the Wolverine Conference – East, with Otsego taking the first place spot.  On February 15 the Bulldogs competed at the MHSAA District meet at Otsego, with 15 teams in attendance.  First place with 729.33 points went to the Bulldogs of Otsego, 2^nd place went to Lakewood with 724.36, and 3^rd place to Paw Paw with 722.76.  Vicksburg placed 9^th at the event with 611.92 points.

Coach Childs stated that, “This team is the most cohesive team I have had the privilege of coaching.  These athletes worked tirelessly to achieve new skills and were able to secure a finish in the top third of our conference.  They overcame adversity including numerous injures throughout the season.  The Varsity Cheer team finished the season by achieving the most important goal in any sport – having fun.  Our JV team finished their season with a first place finish at our own Bulldog Invitational and our Middle School team improved leaps and bounds during the course of their season.  I am very proud of the 2013-2014 Vicksburg Competitive Cheer program. “
