The Schoolcraft Schools Alumni Association Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, in the Schoolcraft High School cafeteria.
This annual event celebrates the current graduates of Schoolcraft High School and honors the class celebrating its 50th anniversary. Anyone who attended or graduated from Schoolcraft Schools is cordially invited to attend.
The banquet is being held on a later date this year to avoid conflicts with end-of-the-year events at the high school, according to President Bryon Balch, Class of 2005. The planning committee is trying this new date and will assess its success after the event.
At the banquet, an Alumni Association scholarship for a current high school graduate will be announced. Also, an update on the schools will be given by the high school principal, Kristin M. Flynn.
The banquet begins with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a generous dish to share and your own table service. Coffee, punch, rolls and butter will be provided.
If you graduated in 2014 or 1964, you may choose to bring a dish or just sit back and enjoy the party.
Annual dues of $5 will be collected to support the costs of mailings and events. There will also be a short business meeting after the program.
Members of the planning committee include Bryon Balch, President; Sue Bates Hendriksma, Jack Sauer, Joyce Frey Steebe, and Marilyn Schug Tonander.
