The Vicksburg High School class of 2014 was honored by the Vicksburg Lions and Rotary Clubs recently in the Performing Arts Center.
There were thirty seven seniors receiving awards and forty seven scholarship handed out to the tune of $50,800 of tuition gifts to deserving seniors. Leann Mayberry, valedictorian for this class was recognized, along with co-salutatorians Alexandra Oswalt and Danny Kosiba.




Vicksburg Strive Students Receive Scholarships
The Strive program for Vicksburg High School seniors, mentors for those who need a little push to graduate and improve their life prospects. Students are honored who improve their existing grade point average during their senior year, achieve a ninety percent attendance level at school, and demonstrate appropriate conduct and a positive attitude. The year-long program is sponsored by the Vicksburg Rotary Club, which seeks mentors from its membership and the community. Thirteen young people were honored recently by the Club members for achieving their goals.
