Taste of Vicksburg Photos The Hide-a-Way received two awards from Tanya DeLong. They sold the most tickets, 735, and received the judges choice for best food. Stubby’s received the Best of Taste award from Tanya DeLong. Ken Schippers, Ben Fritz, and Dave Downs served as judges, giving each of the food samples a good going over. Deb, Jake, and John DeBault of the Rise-N-Dine restaurant were serving dinner fare for the Taste. Diana Girolami with her granddaughter sample BBQ chicken and pork ribs. Apple Knockers submitted their “knock-out” ice cream and waffle concoction for the judges to sample. Melissa Jamerson on the right, the mother of Dani Jamerson whose band played during the Taste, enjoys the music with a friend. Jaspare’s Pizza owners Todd Glenn and his wife, along with employees sold a lot of pizza. Mandy Kokalas’ daughters stirred up some serious cotton candy in front of Mandy’s Candies store. Main Street Pub was well represented with “hot” food. Officers Kite and Stanfill, patrolled the village square to make sure everyone had a good time but didn’t get out of control.
