Special Program for Youth Planned

Untitled-1Children Rock, a program for children ages four through elementary school, will be held August 8-9, from 6-8 p.m. at Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene.

Children Rock is a summer children’s ministry of the church. It is essentially a GIANT kid’s party that goes on each night from 6-8 p.m. Children walk in, have dinner, sing, dance, and then are broken into age appropriate groups that cycle through an awesome reptile show, tie dye shirt making, then games and fun with Inflatables. In the closing moments, it will wrap up with a lesson that helps children know just how much God thinks THEY ROCK!

Adults can stay and enjoy WiFi and coffee, or head into town for shopping or dinner. Participants can save some time by registering online at vicksburgnaz.com or, in case they forget, it’s totally fine to register at the church starting at 5:45 each night, says Brent Bittenbender, the church’s assistant pastor.

Children Rock will end with a special service that includes all the Children Rock kids at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 10. A free lunch will be served to the entire church following that Sunday service and each of the other two nights includes free dinner for the children (hot dogs on Friday, pizza on Saturday).

For more information, visit the church’s website or call Pastor Brent at (269) 568-6689.
