Vicksburg High School First Day of School Schedule

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 2. Freshmen only will be required to report for a full day of school. Staff and student mentors will spend the morning with freshmen, conducting a variety of activities involving Career Pathways at Vicksburg High School. Freshmen will tour the building and be given time to find their individual lockers. They will also visit with club advisors about the opportunities in various extra-curricular activities. Lunch will be served for freshmen only.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors will report for class starting at 11:40 a.m., the same day. Due to the delayed start, buses will pick up all sophomores, juniors and seniors four hours later than their normal time. Homerooms for the entire student body will begin at 11:40 a.m. A shortened, seven-period day will run after homeroom until the 2:29 p.m. dismissal.

Wednesday, September 3^rd, is the first full day of school for all students. Wednesday is also school picture day. Picture ordering envelopes will be sent home the first day of school. Extra envelopes will be available in the office.
