
The Vicksburg Lions Club hosted its Fourth Annual Bowling “Fun-Raiser” at Airway Fun Center in February. It was the most successful event of its kind yet. All 31 available lanes were filled to capacity as 186 bowlers participated in the event. The funds raised have been designated to provide eyeglasses and eye-related assistance to those in need in the community.
Chairperson Alice Galovan on behalfof the Lions thanked the participants and the spectators who helped to make the event a success. This fundraiser wouldn’t be possible without the help of its sponsors, she said.
They included Jaspare’s Pizza, Vicksburg Optometry, Family Doctors of Vicksburg, Village Hide-A-Way, Vicksburg Chamber of Commerce, Bubs 73 Foundation, Flegal & Melnick, Grossman Law, PC, E2w Engineering, Erbelli’s Gourmet Pizza, Ralph Hayward Insurance Agency, Lins Long Lake Tavern, States Golf Course, Schoolcraft Auto Body, PNC, Right-Way Rental / R.W.R. Bait & Tackle, DOVE Ag Services, Inc., Central Elevator, Becker Insurance Agency PC, Edward Jones Investments, Vicksburg Chrysler, and Simmons Ford & Mercury. Many other businesses donated prize giveaways for the participants.
