6/14 – Sun. Celebrating 25 years of the Vicksburg Depot Museum from 1 – 4 p.m.

6/20 – Sat. Relay for Life, at Swan Park from 10 a.m. to midnight.

6/22 – Mon. Victorian Garden Club to visit Bronson Park to hear a history of these gardens from CJ Drenth. Meet at the Depot Museum in Vicksburg to carpool at 6:15. Contact Wendy French 649-1293.

6/27 – Sat. Vicksburg Chamber of Commerce Block Party and Taste of Vicksburg, 5 – 11 p.m. downtown Vicksburg.

6/27 – Sat. Kline’s Resort 50th Anniversary Celebration.

July

7/18 – Sat. Scotts Summer Festival and UMC rummage sale located behind the Pride of Scotts building.

7/18 – 24 World championship amateur Disc Golf tournament at the Vicksburg Recreation Park and other Kalamazoo Area locations.

7/23, 24, 25 – Thurs night, Friday and Saturday, Vicksburg Lions Club Summer Festival at the community pavilion in Vicksburg.

7/27 – Mon. Victorian Garden Club to meet at members’ homes for a garden tour.

7/27 – Mon. Family Valley Church in Kalamazoo will hold a one night Mobile Food Pantry in the community pavilion from 6 – 8 p.m.

Recurring events

Certified Veterans Service Officer, Robert Barton, helping with navigating the VA healthcare system at SCCS every Thursday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Contact 649-2901 for further information.

Boy Scouts newspaper drop off on Richardson Street, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.

Vicksburg Village Council meets the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Vicksburg District Library.

Vicksburg School Board meets the second Monday of the month, usually at the administration building at 7 p.m.

6/16 – Elder Abuse Prevention half-day conference, 8 a.m. to noon. Assembly of God church on Oakland Drive, just south of I-94. Call WMU Center for Gerontology to register. 387-9600.

Schoolcraft

June

6/20 – Sat. Relay for Life, at Swan Park from 10 a.m. to midnight.

July

7/4 – Fourth of July parade through downtown Schoolcraft with events all day.

Recurring events

Regular meetings of the Village Council on the first and third Monday of the month in the council chambers at 7 p.m.

Regular meeting of the Schoolcraft School Board on the second Monday at 7 p.m. usually at the high school.

Schoolcraft PTO meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the elementary library, 6:30.

Schoolcraft Ladies Library meets regularly on the first and third Tuesday of the month, usually at the LLA building.

Schoolcraft Historical Society meets regularly on the first Wednesday of the month at the Museum at 7 p.m.
