Local municipalities, churches and satisfied program attendees have helped to make programs such as Matter of Balance (fall prevention), PATH (Personal Action Toward Health), Diabetes PATH, and Creating Confident Caregivers a household name in the South County Community Services (SCCS) service area. Senior participants in AAA programs report that their commitment to coming has been a “game changer” in their lives. While donations are very welcome, there is no set program fee. The METRO Community Service Van, operated by SCCS volunteers, is a resource for help with transportation. SCCS will partner with host sites to assist with program promotion and provide healthy refreshments. Anyone with a need and interest can attend. Upcoming fall sessions are listed below.
