Holiday Tea & Silent Auction at Vicksburg Library

By Andrea Smalley

Those interested in beautiful holiday decorations, sweet treats, gift cards to local businesses and many more exciting items can visit the Vicksburg District Library Nov. 7 for an opportunity to win great auction items, socialize with friends–and incidentally support repair of the library’s crumbling front steps.

The Ladies Library Auxiliary of the Vicksburg District Library is sponsoring a Holiday Tea and Silent Auction from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. Attendees will enjoy refreshments, door prizes, browsing and bidding. The auction offers community members the opportunity to get good deals on lovely and adorable holiday decorations, a gorgeous coffee set, treats from Mandy’s Candies, scented soaps and lotions, and other goods from local businesses and crafters, while helping the library create a safe entryway.

The Holiday Tea and Silent Auction is sponsored by the Ladies Library Auxiliary and supported by donations from local businesses and crafters, including Mandy’s Candies, Vicksburg Optometry, Ruthie’s Paint and Yarn, Dawn Ulmer, Mary Ann Kudary, Jane Wesoloski, Karen Holt, and Linda Adams. The auction will close at 3 p.m. Those interested in attending the event are invited to RSVP to the library at 269-649-1648 or info@vicksburglibrary.org. Questions about the event or auction donations are also welcome.
