Don H. Hunt, FIC, Schoolcraft, a financial associate with Thrivent Financial, has qualified to attend the Summit Circle Conference by providing outstanding financial guidance, solutions and service to members of the organization in 2015. Only 226 of Thrivent Financial’s more than 2,300 financial representatives qualified for this honor.

He opened his office in Schoolcraft in 2014, looking to a new career after being in manufacturing for many years. He found Thrivent which specializes in a full gamut of financial services, a big departure from being a mechanical engineer.

“My passion is to find the right investment sources for my clients. It could be an annuity, mutual funds, or life insurance,” he said. To get started with Thrivent, he had 10 ½ weeks of intensive studying and exams before he was licensed. Hunt is with Thrivent Financial’s Great Lakes Regional Financial Office, serving members in Schoolcraft and surrounding communities.

Don will be recognized by his peers from across the country at Thrivent Financial’s annual conference in Nashville. Hunt has been with Thrivent Financial for nearly 2 years and has been recognized for his performance each year.

He and his wife, the former Jill Van Dyken, a native of Schoolcraft, live on West Street with their daughter Sienna, 7, and son Jamison, 5. Don coaches Sienna in softball and Jamison in T-ball. He has played city league softball for 20 years or more, after growing up in Three Rivers.
