6/25 & 26 – Battle of Sunset Lake, Revolutionary War re-enactment, Sat. and Sun. at the Vicksburg Recreation Park and Historic Village. Parade through downtown, 5:30 p.m.
6/26 – Sun. Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast at the pavilion, 7-10 a.m.
6/25 – Sat. Taste of Vicksburg, Chamber of Commerce event at the corner of Main and Prairie streets with live bands, food and drink, from 4-11:30 p.m.

The library has six brand new Kindle Fire tablets ready to lend out to patrons. The devices will circulate as a “try it before you buy it”, type of program. Patrons can read ebooks, check email, download apps, etc. It’s an exciting new addition and Faye VanRavenswaay, the library director, is eager to get some feedback from the patrons.
