My family has been in the area over 100 years. My great grandfather, Frank Lemon, founded Lemon Park in 1901. My grandmother, Lulu Crawford, graduated from Vicksburg High School and taught at Tiffany Schoolhouse. I am the daughter of Dick and Shirley Crawford, who have resided at Lemon Park for over 70 years. I have one brother, Dean Crawford, a son, Eric Crawford and his wife Cindy, and one grandchild, Hayden Crawford. All reside at Lemon Park today. I have been a Brady Township Trustee for 4 years, served on the Brady Township Planning Commission as the liaison for the last 3 years. I also serve on Brady Township Veterans Memorial Committee.

“I am dedicated, honest, trustworthy and dependable. Continuing the Township’s open door policy, I always welcome suggestions and comments. I am asking for your vote so I can continue to serve as trustee in order to give back to the community which has given so much to me.”

“I am running for Brady Township Trustee with the hope that my professional experience in making sound business decisions and resolving conflict will add balance to the decision-making process in Brady Township. I believe I can fairly evaluate to the concerns of both individuals and groups. I also have been a volunteer leader of the Indian Lake Association for the last six years. These cumulative experiences should allow me to serve the people of Brady Township well in this role of helping to balance the welfare of local residents, Brady Township government and the environment.”

IMG_7109Age 52, married to Scott with two children and two step-children. After serving 22 1/2 years, I resigned as Sunfield Township Clerk to move to Vicksburg. It was a rural community that included a small village. We had a joint fire authority and worked part-time out of our homes. We rarely used legal counsel. We had a very open atmosphere and we always had the trust of our constituents.

“I think the Board could benefit from new blood. I feel a good board should have someone that isn’t afraid to disagree or vote in opposition when the situation warrants it. I have no problem questioning what has always been done. I have experience in a similar rural community and am looking for ways to best use taxpayer dollars. My husband is a fourth generation farmer that has deep roots in Brady Township. The current board lacks representation from the rural community. I could be that person while trying to bridge the gap that seems to exist between the “lake” people and the “rural” residents. In addition, my career experience in agricultural lending provides me daily opportunities for budgeting, prioritizing and making tough financial decisions.”

Jennifer Feasel, candidate: did not respond to questionnaire.
