A fun-filled evening was had by all who attended the Schoolcraft Summer Palooza sponsored by the Friends of the Schoolcraft Library to benefit the Schoolcraft Community Library.

Coordinator AnJie Havens said, “If it takes a village to raise a child, then the children of Schoolcraft are off to a great start.” The event saw strong support from Schoolcraft area businesses, churches, and organizations which turned out to sponsor games. The Fresh Food Fairy brought her bicycle-powered blender for kids to make fresh smoothies.

Local artisans sold their wares and Chicks with Sticks performed. The Friends and Library presented a bake sale and book sale. They wish to thank the village for their great job of preparing Burch Park and fire department and police volunteers with their vehicles making this such a special event. Mark your calendars for August 3, 2017 (the first Thursday in August) for next year’s Palooza!
