
Vicksburg students received over $65,000 in scholarships given by the greater Vicksburg community. The David Reisterer scholarships of $2,500 each went to Bryce O’Neill and Raquel Rice in the middle. They were presented by David’s daughter Sue Rathburn and his wife Gail Reisterer for their excellence in athletics.
The Vicksburg Lions Club awards three $1,500 scholarships each year. The recipients pictured here are from left: Abbey Oswalt, Marissa Ervin, Caleb Fort with Dave Reno, the club president seen on the right.
For 30 years the Cunningham family has been awarding a full year’s tuition at Western Michigan University in the memory of their daughter, Julie. That person through leadership in his/her athletic ability has demonstrated leadership and team spirit as did their late daughter. Pictured here is Amanda Walther who received it this year. Next to her in blue is the very first recipient 30 years ago, Diane Fort, who attended the Senior Night Honors banquet because her own son, Caleb, was graduating.
Dr. Lloyd Appell’s family established the Appell Family Scholarship of $2,500 each year to go to a student who has excelled in leadership, ACT scores, extra-curricular school and community activities. It went to Andrew Phelps.
