Frank and Penny Hurd of Scotts will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this August with a special vacation. Frank and the former Penny Bower, who first met in Leonidas, were married August 19, 1967, in Kalamazoo. Frank and Penny settled in Scotts to raise their family; their children and their spouses are Jim and Heather Roberson and Frank and Melissa Hurd. They also have five grandchildren, Austin, Dallas, Landon, Lincoln, and Niko. Frank retired from Upjohn in 2004 while Penny retired as a hairdresser in Vicksburg after 36 years of service.
