The Eagles volleyball team has had another strong year, sitting at 27-13-2, undefeated in conference play and currently ranked fourth in Class C for most of the year.
As the team prepares for the SAC Conference tournament and district play, it has been keeping a focus on daily individual and team improvement, according to Coach Erin Okin.
“The last couple of weeks we have enjoyed upped performances from our two seniors, Brooke Crissman and Paige Gebben. Their play defensively has given our team new life and has made a tremendous impact, especially at tough weekend tournaments,” Okin said.
Junior middle Alisa Ertman has been another big reason the Eagles continue to see success. “Alisa has really grown into the middle attacker position. She’s worked a lot on her timing and getting off the ground quickly this year and has become a great attack threat for us,” Okin pointed out.
The coach said, “We have twelve hard-working girls on this team who enjoy competing together and against each other. They are extremely encouraging to one another, which helps keep our team dynamic strong.”
