The Bulldog Clay Target Team expects to build on all of its great accomplishments from its first year. One of the most exciting team sports to come to Vicksburg in a long time is poised to begin its second season in the Michigan High School Clay Target League, according to team organizer Kip Young.
Recruiting for the Vicksburg Bulldog Clay Target Team 2018 spring season is in full swing with student athlete registration ending March 9. The team is open to all Vicksburg Community School students in grades 6-12.
The team began open shooting in January in preparation for an April 1st season start. The regular season runs through May 27, ending in a fun shoot. Kids that wish to go on and compete at the state meet with the team can attend the state tournament in Mason on June 16th.
The 2018 season has an awesome new opportunity. The USA Clay Target league is holding its first ever National Championships. The event will be held July 12-16 in Mason.
