Schoolcraft Golf Team Affected by the Weather

By Sue Moore

“The weather has prevented the golf team from practicing outside as much as we would have liked,” Coach Terry Haas pointed out. “But everyone else is in the same situation. We will have a very busy month of May as we have had a couple matches postponed. We look forward to the opportunity to compete against some bigger schools in the month of May.”

The team won a dual match against Bronson. It won the Delton Kellogg Invitational with a score of 320. Rielly Troyer, Parker Lawrence, Jack Waldron, Collin Hampton, and Aaron Ebersberger were medalists as all placed in the top 6. Parker Lawrence was low with a 76. In our two league jamborees, the team was 5-1 (2nd place) and 4-2 (3rd place).

“Kalamazoo Christian and Kalamazoo Hackett are our toughest competition in our conference,” Haas said. “Rielly Troyer, Parker Lawrence, Jack Waldron, Collin Hampton, Sean Endres, Aaron Ebersberger, Reilly Puhalski, and Riley Piper have all played varsity matches and we have used all of their scores at least once.”
