Tanner White will be joining a long line of Vicksburg High School graduates who have gone on to attend Kalamazoo College and participate in the Division III sports programs. He has received an academic scholarship and an invitation to join the varsity football team in the fall.
He played defensive tackle for the Bulldogs all four years of high school but thinks he would like to try outside linebacker at K. He was named academic all-state in football for the 2017 season and has spent the spring sports season as the announcer for varsity lacrosse games at the Vicksburg stadium.
While growing up in Vicksburg, he participated in scouting, earning his Eagle award as a sophomore. He was elected president of his class all four years of high school. He served as National Honor Society president his junior and senior years.
“I love watching sports, especially the numbers and charting the statistics. I hope to major in communications with an emphasis on broadcasting at K-College,” White said. He is the son of Dr. Todd and Tracy White.
