Larry Ledlow received his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees from Western Michigan University. Upon his arrival in Schoolcraft he was a middle school teacher for five years. He then moved to become the guidance counselor where he spent 41 years and counting.
Larry coached baseball, basketball and football. He was head football coach for 23 years. During that time, Larry amassed a record of 214 wins with only 37 losses. His 85.3 winning percentage record stands as the most productive in the history of Michigan High School football.
He had 23 consecutive winning seasons, 11 league championships, 16 years of playoff appearances, 3 state football championships: Class D in 1988, Class C in 1989 and division 6 in 2001. Larry was regional coach of the year many times and the AP coach of the year in 1987. Larry was State Coach of the Year in 1988 and ’89 and MHSAA Coach of the year in 2006. In 2015 Larry was inducted in the Parchment Community Schools Hall of Fame.
