Warm weather events just around the bend

A fresh blanket of snow sparkles this morning, but a few warmer days last week reminded us that spring is not far away. Our neighbors’ grandson is relishing this fresh fluff and is making snow angels and racing around their yard. Yes, this backdrop is beautiful, but won’t warm weather be wonderful?

We hope you enjoy our March edition. We continue to include contributions from several of our local agencies and nonprofits, as well as business, travel, school, and local government information. As always, we welcome your suggestions for future features.

Please note: Schoolcraft’s 4th of July Planning Committee is planning a parade for Monday, July 4, 2022. The group is launching a website dedicated to the July festivities. This is Schoolcraft’s 95th 4th of July Parade. They still need many volunteers and a licensed insured pyrotechnician to hold the fireworks. If they do not find someone, they will not be able to have the fireworks show.

Another Food Truck Rally is planned for March 10 from 4:30-8 p.m. on South Main Street in downtown Vicksburg. The section of Main Street between Prairie and Washington will be closed to traffic.
We wish our friend and poet Marilyn Jones a happy birthday on March 12! Enjoy your special day!
