Caramel corn recipe

4 qt. popcorn, popped. Put in a paper bag.
1 stick butter
1 C brown sugar
¼ C corn syrup
¼ t cream of tartar
½ t baking soda
Pinch of salt
¼ t vanilla

Heat butter, sugar, cream of tartar, corn syrup in a saucepan. Stir and boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Add vanilla and soda and beat well. (mixture will be thick)

Pour over the mixture in the paper bag. Fold top and shake well.

Place popcorn in roasting pan and bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour.

Spread on a cookie sheet to cool. Enjoy.
