Vicksburg Farmers’ Market opens May 19

By Wendy Pangle, Market Manager

The Vicksburg Farmers’ Market will start its 14th season May 19 from 2 – 6 p.m., with returning favorites and eight new vendors.

The Pavilion on 300 N Richardson Road will be filled with locally grown produce, fresh baked goods and artisan craft vendors, growing as the season goes on. New additions this year include Ben’s Pretzel and Corn Dog Food truck, locally made Herbal Meadows Botanicals and grass-fed beef from Sugar Creek Farms.

The Market is planning three Downtown Markets on the 3rd Friday of June, July and August on Vicksburg’s Main Street. Customers will enjoy music at all the markets this year. The Vicksburg Library, Vicksburg Cultural Arts Center and other non-profits will be providing activities for the children.

The market will be open Fridays through Sept. 29.
