Adult Events

Dungeons and Dragons – September 6 and 20 from 5:30-8 p.m. Play D&D 5th edition.

Book Club for Adults – September 7, October 5 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Discuss a book with the group. In September, we will discuss “Little Fires Everywhere” by Celeste Ng. At our October meeting, we will discuss “Firekeeper’s Daughter” by Michigan author Angeline Boulley.

Crafts for Adults – September 12 from 1-3 p.m. Create faux stained glass candle jars.

Evening Writers’ Motivational Group – September 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Report progress, set goals, share resources and advice, and troubleshoot or brainstorm your projects with other writers.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy Book Club – September 21 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. A book club for sci-fi, fantasy, and horror novels. Ask at the library for September’s book.

Movie Club – September 25 from 1-3 p.m. Watch “Cyrano” at the library with coffee, tea, and cookies.

Comedy Movie Club – September 27 from 4-6 p.m. Watch “Love and Monsters” at the library with popcorn and drinks.

October Events – Check our website for upcoming adult and young adult events in celebration of Angeline Boulley’s award-winning novel “Firekeeper’s Daughter.”

Bridge Club – Join us for our weekly friendly game. Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-12 noon.

Tai Chi Class – Weekly class. The community is welcome. Tuesdays from 7–8 p.m. and Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Writer’s Roundtable – September 27 from 1-2:30 p.m. Get support, feedback, and inspiration from fellow writers.

Ladies Library Auxiliary Meeting – September 1 from noon – 3 p.m. in our Lower Level space.

Youth Events

Mugs and Hugs – September 6 and 20 from 10-10:45 a.m. Stories, rhymes, peer interaction. Ages 4 and below.

Family Storytime – September 11, 18, 25 from 10-10:30 a.m. Read, sing, and play. Ages 4 and below.

STEAM – September 18 from 11 a.m-noon. Ages 5–11-plus. Engage in hands-on activities inspiring creativity and problem-solving skills.

Lego Club – September 19 from 1-2 p.m. Ages 5-11-plus. Events have suggested themes, but individual creativity is the goal.

Teen Book Club – Starting in mid-September. Call for dates and times.

Bulldog Break Time – September 14 and 28 from 2:45-4:15 p.m. Grades 6-12. A safe space for teens and tweens to get together and have fun. Crafts, games, social activities, and tasty treats provided.

Teen Break – September 14 and 28 from 4:15-5:45 p.m. Grades 6-12. Nintendo Switch and games for people under 18! All supplies provided along with fun snacks.

Vicksburg Farmer’s Market – September 22 from 2-6 p.m. Come and craft with our Youth Librarian. All ages.

Fall Bike Celebration/Bike Rodeo – September 16 from 10 a.m.-noon at Vicksburg Middle School parking lot, 348 E. Prairie St., Vicksburg. Ages 3-11. Vicksburg Library is partnering with Safe Kids and Bike Friendly Kalamazoo to demonstrate safe bicycle riding in a bicycle rodeo, along with fun giveaways.
