A letter of thanks
Vicksburg Postal Clerk Deborah Hyndman retired. Below is her letter to the community.
“To all the residents of the Village of Vicksburg and surrounding area, My name is Deborah (Debbie) Hyndman, and I have been the window clerk at the Vicksburg Post Office for the past 23 years. On August 31, 2023, I retired.
I thoroughly enjoyed serving Vicksburg for all these years. Many of you have come into the post office to mail letters and packages, or to buy stamps with me. I have developed relationships with many of you, and some of you are my friends as well as my customers.
Although I am ready to retire, it is bittersweet for me. I will truly miss all of you and my co-workers.
Thank you for allowing me to serve all of you and for touching my life.”
