Miller Auditorium will provide American sign language interpretation, ASL, for performances in its Zhang Broadway in West Michigan series.
The service began with a performance of “Mean Girls” in October. It will continue with “Jagged Little Pill” January 17, “Come From Away” January 31 and “Jesus Christ Superstar” March 27.
Previously, patrons could contact Miller to request ASL interpretation. The ASL interpreter performances are funded in part by support from Theatre Kalamazoo and the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation. Seating adjacent to the ASL interpreter(s) is being offered and can be purchased by visiting the Miller Auditorium Box Office Monday-Friday from noon-6 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased by phone at (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858 or by emailing at ma-tickets@wmich.edu. TDD services are available through the Michigan Relay Center at (800) 649-3777.
If ASL Interpreter services are needed for performances not listed, patrons may still reach out to request them by contacting our box office. Requests must be received at least one month prior to allow time for securing a qualified ASL interpreter.
