Vicksburg Varsity Men’s soccer with returning Coach Steve DeVries, has had a rough start to their 2013 season.
The Bulldogs lost at home to Edwardsburg 3-1, with the sole goal being scored by Lucas Perry. They travelled to St. Joseph to suffer a disappointing 7-0 loss, and then hosted South Haven and took their third loss with an 8-3 score. Jacob Windle landed two goals and Mitch VanSchoick contributed another in the South Haven match.
The tide turned with a game at Comstock where the boys fought to a 5-4 win. Jacob Windle tallied three goals and one assist, while Keenan Erb and Emmanuel Camacho added one a piece.
Seven seniors line the roster this year, including Austin Arnott, Michael Adams, Emmanuel Camacho, Kevin Couk, Danny Kosiba, Matthew Peterson, and Jacob Windle. The balance of the Bulldog team includes Eric Babcock, Skyler Eager, Keenan Erb, Conner Henderson, Lucas Perry, Mitchell VanSchoick, and Jude Wiesser.
