Schoolcraft Eagles 2016 graduates will be celebrating in style and hopefully alcohol- and drug-free, thanks to the work of the Project Graduation committee headed up by Becky Sharp and Heidi Ertman.
Although details of the event won’t be revealed until the night of graduation, the group anticipates an excursion with fun activities throughout the night. In previous years, graduates have had all-night visits to Double JJ Ranch and Western Michigan University swimming. About 80 percent of the graduating classes typically participates in Project Graduation.
The committee has been fundraising to help cover the costs of the celebration with an overall goal of $20,000. Members are selling Team Discount Cards for $10 which offer special deals at nine different area restaurants. On Saturday, March 12 , Copper Ridge Salon and Spa is featuring $10 haircuts during a “Cut-A-Thon” from noon-5 p.m., with all proceeds donated to Schoolcraft Project Graduation. Moe’s Southwest Grill on South Westnedge will offer all-you-can-eat on March 11, from 7:30-10 p.m. for $10 per person; 70 percent of proceeds will be donated to Schoolcraft Project Graduation.
For further information, call or text Heidi Ertman, the vice president of Project Graduation, at 269-535-0361. Head out for all you can eat on the 11th and a new haircut on the 12th!
