For the last eight years, Vicksburg businesses and organizations have been offered an opportunity to showcase their products and services to the parents and students in the Vicksburg school system at the Vicksburg Community Tailgate Celebration. This year’s date is Friday, September 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. before the home football game.
The event is organized by the Community Education Department. It has been the showcase for everything from service clubs to churches, local businesses and industry. Sponsorships help supply free hot dogs, and the other organizations hand out anything from ice cream to toothbrushes.

In addition, there will be a 6:30 p.m. Open House for the community to view the High School building updates. Free t-shirts will be given out while supplies last to all who go through the building tour.
