The first flapjacks breakfast was so popular last year that the South County Community Services (SCCS) organization is planning its second annual Fabulous Flapjack Fundraiser to help generate excitement for donating to Vicksburg United Way which supports the programs at SCCS in several ways, according to Danna Downing, executive director.
The public is invited to start the day with fresh hot pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, at the Vicksburg United Methodist Church at 217 S. Main Street. A donation to United Way will pay for breakfast to support struggling families in South County, but isn’t required, Downing said.
