9/3 – Sun. The Singing Crusaders concert at Kline’s Resort. Bring lawn chairs to sit in. A love offering will be taken. 6:30 p.m.

9/8 – Fri. Community Tailgate Celebration at Vicksburg High School. 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

9/8 – Fri. Special Exhibit: Paper Guild Opening Reception at the Vicksburg Cultural Arts Center. 6 – 8 p.m. VCAC new location: 101 E Prairie St.

9/11 – Mondays until Nov. 13, Aging Mastery Program, presented by the South County Community Services at the Vicksburg District Library, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

9/13 – Wed. Bottle Collection Workshop at the Historic Village 6 – 8 p.m.

9/15 – Fri. Blood Drive at the Vicksburg United Methodist Church. 11 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

9/15 – Fri. Afternoon Movie for Adults at the Vicksburg District Library. 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

9/15 – Fri. Coffeehouse Concert: Whiskey Before Breakfast at the Community Center. Refreshments will be available. Tickets $6. 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

9/16 – Sat. Vicksburg Lions Club Golf Outing, 1:30 States Golf Course.

9/16 – Sat. Big Red Machine Glow Run 5k on the Vicksburg Trail. All proceeds go to the Vicksburg Bands program. $25 registration fee, $30 the day of the race. Race starts at 7:30 p.m.

9/19 – Tues. Vicksburg Downtown Development Authority Annual Meeting, 5:30 at the Community Center. Refreshments will be served.

9/20 – Wed. Blacksmithing Workshop at the Historic Village 6 – 8 p.m.

9/22, 23, & 24 – Fri., Sat., & Sun. The Importance of Being Earnest at the Community Center. Shows start at 6:30 p.m. with an additional show at 2 p.m. on Sunday. General Admission $10, students and seniors $7.

9/24 – Sun. Vicksburg Harvest Festival at the Historic Village in Vicksburg. Includes many activities for the whole family! 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

9/27 & 9/28 – Wed. (9 a.m. – 6 pm), Thurs. (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) Rummage Sale at Vicksburg United Methodist Church, 217 S. Main St.

9/29 – VHS Homecoming Parade in downtown Vicksburg at 5 p.m.

10/7 – Sat. Marching Band Invitational at Vicksburg High School. 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Schoolcraft

9/16 – Sat. The Red Brick Team Room at the Schoolcraft Ladies Library building will have two Cream Tea Party seatings at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.50.

9/30 – Sat. Guided tours through the Schoolcraft Township Cemetery to learn about Schoolcraft’s past luminaries. Two tours will take place on 9/30 at 1 and 4 p.m. $20 per person with advance ticket purchase.
