Vicksburg to require digital ticketing at home games

By Michael Roy, VCS Athletic Administrator

Fans attending all Vicksburg athletic events will have to buy tickets through a new online app. Bulldog Athletics have entered a new partnership with HomeTown Ticketing. The digital ticketing will result in a reliable and simple experience for VCS fans and allow school staff to more easily and effectively manage all public events that require tickets for entry.

Tickets for VCS Sporting events can be purchased through the school ticketing website: vicksburgschools.hometownticketing.com/embed/all or by downloading the HomeTown fan app. All tickets and passes can be scanned directly from the website or app to enter events, providing true touchless redemption. Those who prefer a paper ticket can also print their tickets directly from the site and have a QR code scanned that way at entry.

The permanent transition to digital ticketing means cash will no longer be accepted at the gate for VCS sporting events.

For the 2021-2022 school year, individual game tickets will cost $5 plus processing fees. Student season passes are $23 plus processing fees. Student passes cannot be shared, and they will be revoked if used by other students or adults. Adults may purchase season passes costing $40 for 10 games, $70 for 20 games or $100 for 30 games.

Those who do not have a credit card or technology to order tickets can bring cash or checks payable to VCS to the High School Guidance Office for purchase of a pass. These passes are only good for the 2021-22 School Year for any home athletic event. Once the number of games has been used, the pass will be void.

Those over 65 can qualify for a senior pass by coming to the High School Guidance Office with a driver’s license. These passes are only good for the 2021-22 year for any home athletic event, excluding MHSAA tournaments. Senior citizen passes cannot be shared with anyone and will be revoked if used by others.
