Vicksburg Band Boosters are selling raffle tickets to support needs of the band program not funded by the school budget, including instrument purchases. Through this major fundraiser, the group also hopes to help subsidize some of the cost of the band trip to Disney World in Florida planned for the spring of 2023. The cost per student is substantial. The organization hopes the fund raiser will ease the difficult financial burden for some families, enabling more students to go on the trip. The Big Red Machine will perform at Disney World, and students will enjoy a memorable band trip with their peers.
There are three cash prizes: $2,500, $1,000, and $500.
The drawing will be held at the Spring Band Concert on May 24 at the PAC. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from high school and middle school band parents or from the law office of Craig Rolfe at 328 W. Prairie Street in Vicksburg.
