The Schoolcraft Marching band worked during the off season to put together a show that would entertain not only fans at football game halftimes throughout the 2023 season, but also enable the band to earn high marks at competitions during the season.

Its show, “The Realm”, has songs from “Game of Thrones”, “Lord of the Rings” and “Robin Hood”. Band camp in August required hard work and determination not only from band members and their director, but also from parents who drove their student back and forth for this camp during the week.

The band performed its show four times during the season at home football games and three times at competitions. For the first competition, the band traveled to the Otsego Bulldog Marching Invitational where it finished in 6th place overall. Its next Invitational was the Vicksburg Bulldog Invitational where it finished in fourth place. The band seemed to get better as their season progressed, and it was able to show how much better at the East Kentwood Marching Band Invitational. The band peaked at the correct time, finishing first place in Class D with a total score of 51.8.
