Members of the Vicksburg High School coaching and support staff were recognized at a Wolverine Conference Celebration in November.
Rhonda VanderKamp received the highest honor of the evening with the Distinguished Service Award. Rhonda retired last year after 22 years as an administrative assistant in the Vicksburg High School Athletic Department. Mike Roy says she was “a cornerstone of reliability and efficiency.” He stresses that not only does she possess a positive, can-do spirit, she offered “meticulous attention to detail, organizational prowess, and unwavering commitment.” Varsity tennis coach Warner Offord received the Mike Foster 20-year Service Award. In addition, six coaches received Coach of the Year Awards, as voted on by their peers: Tim Kirby, girls basketball; Brian Deal, baseball; Jared Meyer, boys golf; Paul Gephart, softball; Cody Caswell, boys track; and Jennifer Buikema, volleyball.
