Donna Wynell Yeager of Texas Corners, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday August 9, 2026 while surrounded by family. Wynell was born October 8,1935 in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of Wayland Birtie Weatherred and Byrdie Gaither Weatherred. She received her B.A. degree from West Texas State University and attended Indiana University for graduate studies. Wynell was an elementary school and private music teacher in Texas, Indiana and Michigan.
On July 3,1957, Wynell and Robert L Yeager were married. They enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage prior to Bob’s passing. They lived their early years in Texas and Indiana. Most of their married life was spent in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. Wynell loved music, children, animals and enjoyed her years living on Indian Lake. Most of all she valued her family and being a mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, stepmother and brothers Dr. Jackie G. Weatherred and John Weatherred. Wynell is survived by her daughter Rhonda Vroman (Douglas), daughter Becky Slager (Peter) and grandchildren Jessica Blevins (Bradley), Douglas (Angela), Chance (Isabella), Emily, Jeremiah and Kylee Vroman, Lucas Slager and 7 great grandchildren.
Following her request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Wynell requested that any memorials be directed to the SPCA of Southwest Michigan, Mattawan Community Church, Mattawan, MI or the charity of your choice.
