William “Bill” Roy Eberstein, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Vicksburg, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on November 23, 1957, in Vicksburg. Bill was the son of Bill and Dorcas (Rawson) Eberstein.
Bill grew up in Vicksburg and attended Vicksburg Schools. Later in life, he returned to school and earned his GED. He was a fabricator by trade and worked for a period of time for PRAB, Inc.
He loved to work with his hands, whether welding or working on a truck that he rebuilt. You could usually find Bill in the barn, busy working on one project or another. He was a man of routine, mechanically inclined, strong-willed, and deeply loyal to his family. Those who knew him also knew his enjoyment of racing and his love of going to Kalamazoo Speedway.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events and cheering them on. He also took pleasure in cooking, particularly when it came to grilling.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Dorcas Eberstein; and sister Diane Richards.
Bill is survived by his son: David (Shelby) Eberstein, of Vicksburg; two grandchildren: Dawson and Gracelyn; and three siblings: Marla (Michael) Wadsworth, of WI; Todd (Ellen) Eberstein, of Vicksburg; and Larry Eberstein, of Vicksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
