Barbara Joan Pawlowski (Treur), beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully amongst family at Bronson Hospital. Born on December 20, 1956, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Barb led a life filled with love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School, class of 1974, Barb was raised in the Christian Reformed Church, where she developed a strong foundation in faith that guided her throughout her life. Barb was preceded in death by her loving parents, Abraham and Johanna Treur, and her dear brothers, Larry Treur (Marge) and Ken Treur. She is survived by her cherished children, Travis Pawlowski (Lindsey) and Lea Leep (Steve), her four treasured grandchildren, (Greyson and Drake Pawlowski, Alyda and Abraham Leep) who were the light of her life and her loving sister Beverly TenCate (Tim) and brother Robert Treur (Sharon). Her genuine caring spirit was evident in her deep love for both her family and her animals. Barb was instrumental in finding homes for countless strays and unwanted dogs and cats, always ensuring that each one received the love and care they deserved. Her home was a haven for those in need, a testament to her kind and generous heart and a witness to her belief that “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” (Galatians 5:22-23). Barb’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who provided care, understanding, and patience throughout her life, making her journey a little brighter with their support.
