South County News was built by the community, and we’re always looking for passionate neighbors to help write the next chapter. Whether you’re a seasoned journalist, a hobby photographer, a curious newcomer, or someone who simply loves this place we call home, there’s a place for you in our newsroom.

Local Writers Welcome

We’re always looking for contributors to help cover the news, capture community life, and share meaningful voices from across South County.

Contributing Newspaper Staff Can:

Board Members & Advisors

Our nonprofit board is made up of South County News staff and engaged community members who care deeply about the future of local journalism. Board positions are unpaid, but they offer a meaningful way to shape the direction of South County News and give back to the towns we serve.

Ideal Board Members Are:

  • Passionate about community connection and storytelling
  • Willing to share ideas, skills, and perspective
  • Eager to support the mission of keeping local news alive

If you’ve ever wanted to help your town thrive—not just complain about what’s missing—this is a powerful way to make a difference.
