Vicksburg Choir Goes to Carnegie Hall

Vicksburg students from its four separate choirs, performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City in April. There were three other high schools and two colleges involved. Vicksburg made up part of a chorus of about 200. There was a professional orchestra (Chamber Orchestra of New York City) that played. The concert was on the main stage of Carnegie Hall. Vicksburg took part in a program offered by Manhattan Concert Productions. These members were taken from all of the high school choirs. There are freshmen to seniors in there. Some are members of Chorale, some Women’s Chorus, some Men’s Chorus, and some Chamber Singers.
