CMU Honors VHS Graduate

Claudia Ramsey, a 2013 graduate of Vicksburg High School, was honored at a Reception for Scholars on September 23, at Central Michigan University (CMU).  Ramsey received the Arthur Loren Kontio Outstanding Young Biologist Award. This annual award is given solely on the recommendation of a CMU Biology Department staff member.  In addition, she received the Dr. W.E. Hersee and Idonea Lewis Hersee Scholarship at the reception for her work in the Biology Department.  Ramsey is a junior at Central, majoring in Biomedical Science, and has been on the President’s List with a 4.0 GPA all four semesters at the university.  She is the daughter of Mari and Ken Smith of Vicksburg, and Edward Ramsey of Vandalia.
