The Ayres-Rice Insurance Agency of Schoolcraft has been named one of the Top 10 growth agencies for the Auto-Owners Insurance Company in its Western Michigan region for 2015. In fact, the agency has received this honor five out of the last six years that Auto-Owners has offered it.

Tom Olvitt, owner of the agency, was presented with a plaque commemorating its accomplishments at a luncheon meeting in Lansing, where Auto-Owners is headquartered. “It means a lot to us to be recognized like this because we are an Independent agency and it signifies we are in good standing with Auto-Owners. They look out for their customers. Their claims response is real good,” he said.

“The proof is in the pudding,” Olvitt said about service Auto-Owners provides for claims. “Our production with them is what earned us the award as they are acknowledging the business our agency brings to them,” Olvitt said.

Auto-Owners Insurance has been in business for 100 years, with Ayres-Rice selling its products since 1988. Auto-Owners is a Fortune 500 company and the 17th largest property/casualty insurance company in the nation based on written premiums. It is one of the 12 insurance companies in the United States to receive the highest rating possible, A++ Superior, by A.M. Best, a nationally recognized rating agency for insurance companies. It operates in 26 states with 41,000 licensed agents providing auto, home, business and life insurance to more than 4 million policy holders.
