Eagles Football Team Heads into the Playoffs Highly Favored

By Sean Budlong

The Schoolcraft football team has won its last eighteen regular season games.  This season, the Eagles outscored its opponents 426-71.  In eight out of nine games the starters have watched the second half from the sidelines due to lopsided scores.  What does this mean for the first game of the Division 6 playoffs?  Nothing.  Schoolcraft hosts Constantine in a rematch of last season’s first round playoff game.  The Eagles lost that game 31-28 and are prepared for a measure of revenge on Friday.  Schoolcraft will be led by quarterback Ricky Clark, receivers Nolan Anspaugh and Ben Crowfoot, and a host of running backs.  This team specializes in quick scores – in the season finale against Delton-Kellogg, Schoolcraft scored four touchdowns on its first ten offensive plays.  Spencer Fox, Payton Hoskins, Aaron Lenning, and Collin Tone have had an outstanding season on defense.  If Clark and Anspaugh can generate quick scores, Constantine will have a difficult time playing catch up against the Eagle defense.
