
Nolan Anspaugh was named to the Kalamazoo Gazette’s offensive Dream Team for football as a senior wide receiver. His twin brother Caleb never had a chance to play in 2016 as an injury felled him in the first game of the season. He was slated as a wide receiver on Schoolcraft’s undefeated team. Jakob Huysken, junior defensive lineman for Schoolcraft was named to the defensive Dream Team.
The Anspaugh twins recently signed with Grand Valley State University on partial baseball scholarships. GVSU’s baseball team was the GLIAC conference champion in 2016 and expects to contend nationally in Division II baseball competition in 2017.
Nolan plays outfield where his speed and 6’ 2” stature come in handy. Caleb is a catcher on Schoolcraft’s baseball team, which won the SAC conference championship this year. He hopes that the torn ACL and reconstructive surgery will not hamper him this spring as he plans to return as the team leader. Baseball is their favorite sport. They grew up playing for the Kalamazoo Marlins and Little League.
