Ricky Clark, Schoolcraft’s three-year varsity quarterback, has been chosen as Player of the Year by the Kalamazoo Gazette for the second consecutive season.
Clark is Schoolcraft’s winningest quarterback with 25 victories to his name over the course of three seasons. “He’s the best player I’ve coached,” Terry Haas told the Gazette. “He’s a great leader and a great person in the locker room. Kids really look up to him, respect him and respond to his words.”
Clark is a two-way player hardly ever coming off the field, playing safety on defense. He’s been a team captain for two years and owns practically all the best statistics for passing, running and victories during his years at Schoolcraft. He has signed with Grand Valley State University to play baseball next fall.
